Minecraft is a sandbox-based game that means it's all about options. You can create amazing builds or attempt to complete crazy challenges, or simply chill out with your pals. This also means that there are plenty of players who have created amazing Minecraft mods to mess around with and today we're going to show you a mod that's still very early in its development, but is truly magical.

A Redditor called Morica_ is building an application to bring magical spells into Minecraft. Although the plugin is still in its early stages there's a lot of potential to it. Different spells react differently based on what they strike. There are also a few different spells to choose from, though many of them include fire and explosions currently. If you like the idea, you can mess about with the EpicSpellsPlugin available on Github and firing it up in Spigot. Spigot is a particular kind of server that permits you to make use of these types of plugins, and to play around with the core game a bit. If you've never used one, now is the perfect time to get familiar with it.

Be aware that this plugin is still very early in its development, and therefore it is not possible to cast spells using commands right now. Morica_ is also seeking individuals to help in the development of the plugin, should you be skilled enough to be able to handle such tasks and have the time. If not, we'd suggest checking the demo, and keep an eye on it, because Minecraft and magic are the perfect match.

In less exciting Minecraft bits, we went and explored the White House because it exists and, well, why not? If you're interested, you can also try it.
