How To Installjar Mods

Your description of how to install Java mods is wrong. The reason is that if you put the Java file in the mod folder, it will work in a basic mode until another one is installed in a different part of the ".minecraft." folder. This is what I am referring to.

1. Cut or copy the jar file but don't paste it yet 2. Open the folder for versions and create a new folder based on what you'd like to call it 3. Copy the jar file to the folder you created 4. Copy the jar file in the folder again and paste it with a different name 5. Open the jar file in notepad. Copy the entire text and then exit the file. The copied file should be deleted 7. Create an entirely new file (mostly the type text file) and name it exactly the same as the Jar file 8. When you have it created exactly as the jar file then save the file with the name as a .json file 9. Open the json file in notpad and copy the next you copied 10. Launch the launcher and select the mod you wish to "made." Just another blog or something

10,5. If this didn't work, follow these steps 11. Open the versions folder and select the folder you don't require (if the mod is using 1.7.10 then you must locate a folder that runs the 1.7.10 minecraft version 12. Copy the jar file into the folder you chose and rename it exactly the way the json file is called 13. Launch the launcher, and then select the version.

If you are unable to locate the folder then go back to the version folder and look for it the folder after the last edit and change the name to whatever you want. Just another blog or something I suggest renaming the files within that folder exactly what the folder is called.
