1. Open the Minecraft launcher.

2 Select: The ".minecraft" folder should be at the top of your window.

3. Search for the "mods" folder. If you don't have it yet you can create a new folder and name it as "mods".

4 If your mod file is zip file, when you download it from the web do not extract it, move the zip file to the "mods" folder. However, if the zip file has a jar file, then you'll need to drop the jar file inside instead of the zip file.

5 Open your minecraft launcher again (Make sure that you have set up your Forge profile, if you didn't, read Part 3 again). Click "Play" and you just have to wait for it to download some extra libraries, then when it's done, enjoy your modified game! Everything is updated and I tried what I could to get it to load. Some mods require core mods (e.g. CodeChickenCore requires core mods ), so make sure you read the mod's page before downloading. It will not function if you don't contain the core mods that are required.
