- Fixed critical security issue that allowed attackers to execute code from other devices (RCE Exploit). This could be done via in-game messaging, or other methods in which the game logs an exploitable string as $jndi?ldap due a log-upstream vulnerability., because of an upstream vulnerability in the log.

Fog:

- World fog now starts farther away from the player to make distant terrain visible. - Instead of applying fog as a spherical volume it is now applied as a cylindrical volume.

Additions

Music Disc – Lena Raine added a new music CD titled "otherside". - Rarely found in stronghold corridor chests or dungeon chests. - Has a blue and green color to the ring area of the disc.

World generation

Caves – Completely renovated. - Now, the caves can be reached down to Y=-59 - The caves now generate in 2 layers of different stone bases depending on the depth. - The layer that is above Y=8 consists of regular stone. - From Y=8 to 0, stone can be transformed into deepslate. Deepslate completely replaces stones from Y=0 through bedrock. Deepslate can still produce certain types of ores and structures, as well as tuff or gravel. - Dirt, diorite, granite and andesite do not generate in this layer.

- Aquifers below the Y=0 threshold sometimes produce lava instead of water.

Cheese caves are characterized by large stone towers that run from the bottom of the cave up to the top. They are often large enough for safe elytra flight. Spaghetti caves, which are longer and thinner than original caves, have smaller aquifers. - Noodle caves are thinner, squigglier, and more claustrophobic variants of spaghetti caves.

- Come in 6 sub-biomes: - Meadow - A grassy elevated biome that looks like a flowery and colder plains, with an aqua grass color and dark blue water color.

- Usually found in plateaus and at the base of some mountains, but also near other temperate biomes. - Includes tall grass, grass, dandelions. Azure bluets. cornflowers. poppies. daisies. Alliums. Birch and oak trees are not likely to appear in this biome. This biome is home to only sheep, donkeys, and rabbits. This biome can produce plains villages and pillager outposts.

- Generates on the slopes or snowy mountains when there are forested biomes nearby. It is reminiscent of a snowy Taiga, but with a snow-block and powder snow surface instead of grass blocks. This biome can be home to rabbits, wolves and foxes as well as sheep, pigs (chickens, chickens, and pigs). This biome is home to outposts of pillarers.

- Produces snow on the slopes of a mountain, when it is not in plains or snowy tundra. - In snow, snowblock and powder snow. This biome is only suitable for goats and rabbits. This biome can be home to igloos and pillager outposts.

- One among three biomes that are found in the mountain peaks. - Covered with snow, snow blocks, or stone. - Tends to generate in sharp and jagged peaks in areas with snowy, cold, and temperate biomes. This biome is only suitable for goat spawning. - Pillager outposts can generate in this biome.

- One the three biomes that are found in the mountain tops. - Covered in snow, snow blocks, ice, and packed ice. - In areas with cold, snowy, and temperate biomes, tends to produce smoother and more jagged peaks. This biome is only suitable for goat spawning. - Pillager outposts can generate in this biome.

- One of the three biomes that produce in the mountain peaks. - This area is covered in stone, gravel and calcite striations. - Tends to generate in any peak surrounded by warm biomes such as jungles and savannas, to avoid temperature clashes. - No animals spawn in this biome. This biome can be generated by Pillager outposts.

- Rare ore formations that are long and complex. - Copper veins are formed when copper ore is mixed with granite, blocks of raw copper, and other minerals. - Iron ore veins containing tuff and blocks containing raw iron generate below the Y=0.

Upgrading of old worlds

Terrain from new chunks will now be blended with terrain from older chunks. Any player-made structures within these chunks can be preserved, buried or deteriorated. - The old layer of bedrock between Y=0 & Y=4 is replaced by deepslate. - If there is bedrock at Y=0 the new world generation will produce lower places under the non-air block in older chunks. Y=64 is where a new bedrock layer will be placed.

Command format

/jfr

- When enabled, begins profiling with Java FlightRecorder, as well as the following custom events: - minecraft.ServerTickTime: Sampling event exposing average server tick times in intervals of a second - minecraft.ChunkGeneration: Time taken to generate individual chunk stages - minecraft.PacketRead / minecraft.PacketSent: Network traffic - minecraft.WorldLoadFinishedEvent: Initial world loading duration

- Advancements – Added Four New Advancements: - Caves & Cliffs Fall from The Top to The Bottom of the Overworld

50 Blocks of lava can be ridden on a strider in the Overworld.

- Use a jukebox to play music in a meadow biome.

- Trade with villagers at the limit of build height

- Triggered when a player falls - ride_entity_in_lava. - Triggered every tick when a player rides in lava.

- Debug screen: Added three lines: Multinoise and biome builder. - This line will only appear if the dimension in which the player is located uses the multi-noise source type of biome. Multinoise lists all parameters used at the position of the player to place a Biome. C is continentalness; E is erosion; T is temperature; H is humidity; and W is strangeness. - The more you travel inland, the higher your continentalness. Oceans can be generated in areas where there is low continentality. - Erosion determines how flat or mountainous terrain is. My Cms Higher values mean flatter areas and lower values mean more mountainous terrain. Temperature and humidity do not have an effect on the terrain, but they only determine biome placement. - Weirdness indirectly drives PV (peaks and valleys), noise, and determines which biome variant is placed.

Font

- Added illageralt, the rune-like font from Minecraft Dungeons. - Currently only usable via commands

Languages

- Added Lombard. [note 1] [note 2]

- Added new music (when playing in survival mode), to the Overworld, and distributed to new biomes and to main menu. [note 3] – By Lena Raine. "Stand Tall","Left to Bloom","One More Day","Wending" and"Infinite Amethyst". - "Stand Tall” plays in the snowy, jagged, frozen peaks, and stony summit biomes as well as on the menu screen. "Left to Bloom", also known as the meadow and lush caverns biomes, is found in the menu screen. "One More Day", also known as "One More Day", is found in the meadow with snowy slopes and lush caverns biomes. "Wending", which plays in the grove with jagged peaks, steep peaks, and dripstone caverns biomes, is also available on the menu screen. "Infinite Amethyst", which plays in the grove, dripstone caves biomes and the menu screen.

- Can now disable lightning flashes, which prevents lightning from making the sky flash. Lightning bolts will still be visible. - You can now choose the device that outputs audio to in-game. - Added "Chunk Builder", video settings. - Determines which chunk sections will be updated synchronously in one frame. There are three options available: Fully Blocking, which is how chunk sections were updated before 21w37a; Semi Blocking or Threaded, which reduces stuttering when removing or placing blocks. The last two options may result in rare visual delays during world updates.

- Entities, blocks, and fluids cannot be updated beyond the simulation distance. Allows for higher render distance and lower CPU load. - The lower limit is 5 chunks.

- The indicator appears in the bottom right of the screen whenever the game is saving the world file. Defaults to on

- The new "Realms Notifications” option is now on this screen. - Contains the new "Allow Server Listings" option. - The player name will no longer appear in the online player listings if it is deactivated.
